Personal RESPONSE #1A difficult experience was when i lost a my favorite pencil. This was my favorite pencil in the world. I was in 2nd grade and I was very sad about it. I got through it by getting a new pencil. It was hard at first but i really enjoyed the pencil I had before. I thought about it every day and my mom told me to move on because things will get better and I have to be grateful on what I have now and not what I lost. I learned to always be grateful and not take what you have for grant. I am saving my money to buy all the pencils I want. I know I shouldn’t be but I am very materialistic when it comes to everything in my life. My life was changed at home because I was sad and i missed my pencil a lot. I lost it in a box. It wasn’t just a pencil, it was everything I had owned. My mom forgot to pay our storage and we lost everything. I will take care of everything I have and I am saving money to get everything that I lost back. Only my mom and I care but it wasn’t just my stuff; it was my father's things and he passed away.. This story isn’t just about material things you can buy. The only thing I have left of my father is a memory. No pictures, no clothes. Nothing. My mother was heart broken and that was the first time i ever saw her cry. This was only last year, so who can overcome this? |
PERSONAL RESPONSE #2
I have taken advantage of the educational opportunities by learning and taking noted for the future. I believe English 11 helped me by doing the career project. Doing that really made me figure out what I wanted to do in my life. Though I am not going to college I will take training and classes to further help my career. Some barriers I have now is just trying to get all my credits because it's important and i need to graduate. Integrated has also helped me because math is an important skill that everyone needs. This will be used the most out of my career because in bakeries you are going to need a calculate a lot of stuff when it has to do with how much things cost and what you need to buy in the future. I am not very good in math but it is still useful information that i need. I do sometimes like learning new things. But the career project really had me thinking about my career a lot. My main focus is to pass all my classes and get my diploma. I just hoped the thing that I have learned in school has really help me further my career. I feel like that is the most important. It was not only English 11 that helped but I really like my math skills because I will need to take inventory. I thought it would not help me but it has with everything I will need. |
PERSONAL RESPONSE #3I have a skill of making new friends. I am a very friendly outgoing person and I love meeting new people. I am a person who gets tired of the same thing so i like different variety. Meeting people is calming. Knowing a person is like reading a new book, you get to know what happens and more about it but after you have read it over and over again it gets old. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with keeping old “books” but new ones are just as good. I have always been a people person. However if someone tends not to like me I do not force them to be my friend. This talent was not the same a few years ago. I used to come on way to strong when meeting new people and they become scared. Now I know how to be calmer. What improved was how I talk to people and how many friends I have. Also knowing who are my real friends and who is not. I feel like this skill is more important than the others because in the real world you need to know how to be able to talk to anyone. I will even need this in my future career. I did have to work on this like I said but it worked and I’m loving how it is turning out.I feel as if everyone needs to know how to do this because it’s important because people are everywhere. |
